Quadoro and EB-SIM Introduce Groundbreaking Open-Ended Article 9 Mutual Fund Focused on Renewable Energy

Quadoro Investment GmbH and EB - Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM) are pleased to announce the launch of the Quadoro Erneuerbare Energien Europa (QEEE) open-ended mutual fund on 17 September 2024. The fund, focusing on investments in renewable energy, marks a significant milestone as the first infrastructure fund to meet the rigorous standards of Article 9 of the EU Disclosure Regulation, earning it the highest sustainability classification.

Quadoro Investment GmbH, known for its forward-looking investment approach within the Doric Group, has collaborated closely with EB-SIM, a respected asset manager and sustainability leader and a wholly owned subsidiary of Evangelische Bank, to bring QEEE to market.

With a targeted return of 6% after costs1, the fund caters to both private and professional investors who prioritize sustainability in their investment portfolios. At least 75% of the fund's investments will adhere to the sustainability criteria outlined in the Taxonomy and Disclosure Ordinance.

QEEE is an impact fund, ensuring transparency in measuring and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions associated with its sustainable investments, thereby contributing to the reduction of CO2-equivalent emissions. The fund primarily invests in renewable energy ventures, notably wind and solar projects, across the European Economic Area with a particular emphasis on Germany, France, Scandinavia, and the Iberian Peninsula. Investors can benefit from tax advantages, and the fund is eligible for savings plans.

The combined expertise and extensive experience of Quadoro and EB-SIM in fund management and the asset management of real assets underpin the launch of QEEE, promising innovative and professional management that aims to deliver attractive returns to investors.

Michael Denk, Managing Director of Quadoro Investment GmbH, expressed enthusiasm for the launch, stating, "The introduction of QEEE underscores our commitment to future-proof investments, extending this opportunity to private investors as well. This fund offers investors the benefits of established technologies, diversified project portfolios, and stability, while aligning with both the Paris climate targets and Quadoro's real estate decarbonization strategy."

Michael Hepers, Managing Director & Chief Customer Officer of EB-SIM, echoed this sentiment, saying, "The demand for investments in renewable energy is robust and poised for continued growth. We are excited to partner with Quadoro and are dedicated to advancing decarbonization efforts together."
